Tsunagi Matsuri is a 100% student-led Japanese American cultural festival hosted by the UCLA Nikkei Student Union in partnership with the Intercollegiate Nikkei Council. “Tsunagi” means to connect, and that’s exactly what this festival is about — bringing generations, campuses, and the Little Tokyo community together for a full day of food, games, performances, vendors, and culture. Held in the heart of Little Tokyo at the JACCC Plaza, Tsunagi Matsuri is a family-friendly celebration where Japanese American culture isn’t just remembered — it’s lived, shared, and celebrated together.
