53 Degrees
For concerts, comedy and clubnights come to the North West’s most unique venue... 53 Degrees.
The £6.5 million building in the heart of Lancashire boasts two separate venues, with a 1500 capacity venue on the ground floor alone with a more intimate 400 capacity club upstairs, the perfect opportunity to catch up and coming bands and artists. Each includes stages complete with state of the art lighting and sound system and generous bar areas to ensure that whatever the event, your experience is the best in the North West.
Downstairs is the main venue which has the best sightlines for any gig you come to with its wide stage and tiered levels. Bands that have graced the stage include Ian Brown, The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, Klaxons, Gossip, Super Furry Animals, Happy Mondays, The Coral, The Buzzcocks, The Futureheads, Gomez, The Stranglers, Just Jack, Calvin Harris, Starsailor, Reverend & the Makers, to name a few…
Upstairs in the Club is our intimate venue which has featured hotly tipped acts including The Twang, Little Man Tate, The View, Jack Penate, Maximo Park, Hard Fi, The Hoosiers, The Rascals, Maccabees, Team Waterpolo, Iglu & Hartly and many more.
It’s not just gigs that make 53 Degrees the place to be, there are fantastic clubnights from beats and breaks, bounce and hardcore, old skool to R&B, drum’n’bass to house, techno to indie, metal and ska!
Promo every Thursday night is Preston’s biggest and best student night which has been host to many special guests and up and coming artists.
We also play host to Stand and Deliver Comedy Club. This is Lancashire’s largest comedy club and happens fortnightly on Fridays. Headliners have included comedians such as Dave Spikey, Alan Carr, Ross Noble and Phoenix Nights star, Justin Moorhouse have all performed their unique stand up routines to audiences of 300 in an ambient candlelit atmosphere.
